Dear Murphy School parents, guardians & family members, Wow! The school year is flying by. We have hit our stride in the classroom focusing on making learning fun & purposeful by helping all students build and acquire skills that will continue to enrich their learning experiences. We are working, all of us, on social & emotional learning. Self-management and regulation is the ability to manage one’s emotions, control impulses, that support a growth mindset.  To be able to set and achieve positive goals, feel empathy and compassion for others, and communicate personal feelings in a constructive manner. Building classroom communities where relationship skills, including communication, cooperation, and conflict resolution are incorporated into lessons every day. Here is a link to a short video that introduces some aspects of social and emotional learning: Parent-Teacher communication is so important and  I am glad to see so many parents dialoguing with us. This bolsters our strong partnership.  As always I encourage you to be an active participant in your child’s education. I look forward to our continued work together.    Warm regards,  Robin
