This morning, BHS students in Grades 9 through 12 participated in their third SPIRIT day activity. As previously highlighted, SPIRIT is a curriculum that focuses on the development of six competencies (Social/Emotional Learning, Personal Involvement, Integrity, Resilience, Independent Learning, and Transition) over the course of a student's four years at BHS. These competencies will help better prepare our students to succeed in an interdependent, global society.
Today, Grades 9 AND 10 students focused on integrity. Grades 11 and 12 focused on the development of their post secondary e-portfolios, which included building resumes. In the coming weeks, juniors will be asked to share and discuss some of the experiences they have had around SPIRIT competencies to a small panel of teachers. We encourage families to continue the SPIRIT dialogue at home and in their communities.
