Dear 4th Grade Students and Families:
We are thrilled to announce that on Friday, June 12, 2020, we will honor our 4th Grade Students with a Stepping-Up Parade at each elementary school. On this day our students will receive their certificate, stepping-up gifts, and we will return your child’s personal belongings.
To ensure the safety of everyone during the celebration, we are asking for your assistance and support. Murphy staff are required to wear a mask and gloves, and they will maintain social distancing throughout the process. The local Public Health Department will be on the premises to monitor our event. Please note your class time below.
Schedule for the 4th Grade Stepping Up Parade @ Murphy School Friday, June 12th
Parade Times for each 4th Grade Class are as follows:
10-11:00 Mrs. Ryan’s class
11:15-12:15 Ms. Lang’s class
12:30-1:30 Mrs. Deschaine’s class
1:45-2:45 Ms. Medeiros’ class
Procedure to Follow: Each family will drive their vehicle through Murphy bus lane and will be greeted by staff members. A certificate, step-up gift, student art work, recorders and student personal belongings will be distributed at this time. If you have any school library books, please return them to school at this time.
When arriving on Elementary school property:
If you are sick at the time of your scheduled day, please do not come to school. We will make other arrangements for pick up!!!
All students/families will remain in cars during the parade.
At their scheduled time parents will drive to the front of the school using the bus lane.
During curbside pickup, all families need to remain in their car, so that everyone can be safe. Please honor the CDC/State social distancing recommendations.
Parents will open their trunk from inside their car whenever possible.
Staff will place items from school in the trunk of the car and close the trunk.
Windows must be up at all times and masks must be worn by everyone in cars at all times.
There is NO access to the building by parents or students during this time.
Students will have their picture taken upon receiving their belongings.
Our plan was developed in coordination with the local Public Health Department and we thank you for your continued cooperation and understanding during this extraordinary time. We look forward to seeing you on June 12th.
