Director of Technology
Donna joined Branford Public Schools as Director of Technology in 2015. She also oversees the district’s library media program. Previously she was the Director of Curriculum, Instruction, and Technology for Portland Public Schools, where she also oversaw professional development and teacher evaluation. Her first administrative position was as the teaching principal of Union School in Union, CT. Her teaching career began in 1981 in the Mansfield Public Schools, where she was a self-contained special education teacher. She was also a resource room teacher at Hebron Elementary School and the computer integration teacher for the Woodstock Public Schools. She has also been a paraprofessional, group home house parent, and adjunct professor of educational technology. Donna earned her undergraduate degree in English and a master’s degree in special education with a specialization in learning disabilities from the University of Connecticut. In 2002 she completed her sixth-year degree in educational administration at Sacred Heart University. She believes that all people can learn if they are given the right supports. In her free time, Donna enjoys cooking, learning, and spending as much time as she can being Mimi to her three grandchildren.
