May 18, 2020

Dear JBS Parents and Families,

I hope that you are all doing well, healthy and enjoying learning at home and virtually.  We continue to work as a school community to provide all of our students with “educational opportunities that meet students’ diverse learning needs to the greatest extent possible.”  We appreciate all your support and flexibility as we navigate through these challenging times.

Here’s my weekly video message:  5/18/20 Dr. Clark's Weekly Video Message.

Warmly, Dr. Maria Clark, Principal

Special Message from the BPS Elementary Art Teachers:

We are having an absolutely beautiful spring, and usually for us in the art department, spring means art show season! While we are sad that we can’t have an in-person art show with all of you, we are very excited to announce that we will be having a Celebration of Art week, starting May 26th through the 29th! Hopefully you have seen our announcements in your child’s art google classroom and are getting excited!

We have been busy assembling a virtual art museum that will be interactive and feature each child who has submitted art to us during this Flex Learning time. We will be choosing art from each child to showcase. The virtual art museum will be unveiled on May 26th. You will have the opportunity to view your child’s artwork and the artwork of every participating child in the district!

In addition, each of the elementary art teachers will be hosting a Live Art Class that week. We are hoping this will give our students the opportunity to do some creating with each of us, something we truly miss! The link to our Live Art Classes will be posted on your child’s art google classroom that day. The schedule and lineup of activities are as follows:
