Every year, the District asks for feedback from parents/guardians, students, and staff through a climate survey. This year, we are using a survey developed by Panorama Education, a nationally recognized and validated instrument used by districts nationwide. Please help us by making time to complete it.
On Wednesday, May 26th, Panorama Education will email all parents/guardians, using the email address on file with the District. The message will contain one or more links to a family survey. Each parent/guardian will be able to complete one survey per child. All surveys must be completed by midnight on Wednesday, June 9th. The survey takes less than 20 minutes to complete. All responses are confidential. Panorama’s methods of analyzing and reporting the results ensure that no individual respondents can be identified through any information that is shared with the District. While most questions will be answerable based on the current year, please keep in mind that this has been an unusual year due to the pandemic and some questions may require you to answer based on previous years rather than this one. Survey findings will be analyzed by climate committees and other leadership teams at the district and school levels and help to inform future planning. The results will also be shared publicly at a board meeting in the fall.
Students in grades 3 through 12 will also be surveyed between May 26th and June 9th, using either school email or a link provided through their Google Classroom. The District is unable to distribute electronic or paper copies outside of the survey administration due to the survey’s proprietary nature. However, if you wish to review a copy of the student survey questions in person, please contact your child’s school to make an appointment to do so.
