Food Services
Welcome!
Food is a big part of everyone’s well-being, and Branford Public Schools students need a place to eat where they can connect with others, recharge, and enjoy a sense of happiness in their school. That’s why we serve food kids love to eat and create programs that encourage fun and discovery.
Our foodservice team is passionate about using fresh, nutritious, minimally processed, and locally sourced ingredients, and we foster a sense of adventure in students through experiential learning activities – all with healthier students, healthier communities, and a healthier planet in mind.
Our goal every day is to make sure that Branford Public Schools students leave the cafeteria happier and healthier than when they came in!

My School Bucks
How do I pay for a meal or these healthy snack options?
Each student is set up with a lunch account in the Nutri-Kids Point of Sale system based on your student’s ID number. There are several ways to add money to your child’s account:
1.MySchoolBucks: You may set up an account through a secure online website www.mySchoolBucks.com and pre-pay whatever dollar amount you choose. You may also make payment directly from your bank account. You will need your child’s name, student ID number and school zip code to set up an account on mySchoolBucks.com. You may call
your school office to obtain the student ID number. BPS will be covering all administrative costs related to credit card payments to the MySchoolBucks accounts through December 31st 2024, so it might be good to load up the account now.
2.Payment by Check: You may send in a check with your child or mail to the Chartwells Dining Services c/o Branford Schools, 185 East Main Street, Branford, CT 06405. Checks should be made payable to Branford School Lunch Program. Please put your child’s name in the memos ection of the check.
3.Cash Payments: Your child may use cash to add funds to his/her account. If using cash to add to an account, please indicate your child’s name and student ID number on the face of the envelope.

Cheers to Lisa!
Lisa Nugent at BHS was recognized for the fun and humor she brings to the team each day. “No matter the outside circumstances, Lisa manages to add a bit of levity to every day.” She also leads the kitchen’s Safety Team. A diversified skillset if there ever was one.
