Important School Lunch Information! The USDA has extended the availability of Free School Lunches to All Students Through December 31st! (Or as long as Federal funding lasts)
Beginning immediately, all school breakfasts and lunches will be free for all students 18 years of age and under through December 31st!
Breakfast is offered to all students each school day in a Grab and Go format to bring to their classrooms.
Lunch is delivered to classrooms in elementary and middle school. Teachers will be taking orders directly from students each day and submitting on-line to the kitchen. Please do not attempt to create an account to place orders. This usually duplicates the meal delivery for your child.
In the high school, lunch will be provided from kiosks in specially assigned cafes.
All meals meet all USDA requirements for the applicable school level.
Each school’s menus are posted on the Branford Schools website under Parent Resources – School Menus.
Meals for remote learners and any child under the age of 18. Parents and students can pick up meals each for remote learners, students who are not in class due to off class cycles, and any child under the age of 18 at Branford High School between 10:00AM and 12:00PM Monday through Friday.
Snacks and Ala Carte Items: There will be no snack or Ala carte items sold until further notice.
Meal Account Payments: For those families who have submitted payments into student meal accounts, please note that the funds have been deposited into each student account and will remain until normal operations resume. If you have set up an automatic contribution in My School Bucks, you may wish to stop that.
Free and Reduced Lunch Applications: Please continue to submit free and reduced lunch applications to avoid any eligibility issues after December 31st. Free and reduced lunch applications are available at each school and on the Branford Schools website under Parent Resources. Please note that those eligible for free and reduced lunch year must fill out an application each year by October 19th, unless they are directly certified by the State.
