Education plays a vital role, with initiatives to educate students on the importance of USDA approval through signage, emails, and incentives like extra recess. Advisors from various schools are driving awareness efforts, ensuring each school community is informed and engaged . A pilot program is underway at Tisko aimed at reducing waste, with training sessions for students on sorting food waste. Finally, feedback from students regarding menu items highlights the importance of balancing student preferences with nutritional guidelines, ensuring a satisfactory dining experience for all.
