The Facilities Department is responsible for keeping Branford's school buildings, grounds, and athletic facilities safe, clean, and well-maintained so students and staff have a positive place to learn and work every day. The team maintains school buildings, oversees repairs and improvement projects, cares for grounds and athletic facilities, and supports school events and community use of district facilities.

Facilities' day-to-day maintenance and capital project work also directly supports the district's broader Master Facilities Plan. That initiative is coordinated separately through BPS Forward — visit the BPS Forward site for the full plan and its progress.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Create an account through ML Schedules, the district's online facility use system, and submit a request. This covers all district facilities, including the Walsh Athletic Complex — there's no separate process.

  • Routine maintenance issues should be reported to your school's front office, which routes requests to the Facilities department.

  • The walking track is open to the public outside of school hours. Use of the turf fields and softball field requires an approved reservation through ML Schedules, the same as any other district facility. Click here to access that page.
