Identification Process
When you register your child/children for school you fill out a home language survey that asks the following three questions.

  • What is the primary language used in the home, regardless of the language spoken by the student?

  • What is the language most often spoken by the student?

  • What is the language the student first acquired?

If any question has an answer other than English we need to screen the student to see if they qualify as an English learner.  If they qualify they will receive EL Services during the regular school day..
