Career Pathways News
On Tuesday, representatives from the Town of Branford Public Works Department visited our practical and fine arts department to engage students in discussions about diverse career opportunities. Guest speakers included the Department of Public Works Director, Supervisor/Lead Mechanic, and Town of Branford Assistant Engineer. The students were highly engaged and posed insightful questions throughout the session.
Seal of Biliteracy
Proficiency testing for the Seal of Biliteracy begins April 16 and 18, periods 6-8. Students who are signed up will receive an email prior to April vacation indicating which day they will be testing.
Did you know that many colleges are now offering credit to Seal of Biliteracy earners? For example, Southern Connecticut State University will transfer in 6 credits for 101-level and 200-level foreign language, which satisfies both the Multilingual Communication and Cultural Expression requirement for the general education program.
